About Yendor

Welcome to my blog !

This blog is about me and my ongoing sporting activities and challenges. I hope to use blogging as a means of putting my own thoughts together about what I’m doing, and perhaps even why I’m doing what I’m doing.

  • 2007 was the year of the TOI Challenge, Letape 07 and the Lost Sheep. <ALL 3 DONE>
  • 2008 will see me in Frankfurt Ironman Germany in early July <DONE>
  • So next up hopefully will be the Dublin City Marathon as a means of improving my running, and keeping me from getting too fat and lazy before picking up the pieces for 2009.
  • 2009 for now will be about the toughest IronMan in Europe – Lanzarote 23rd May 2009.

I’d welcome any feedback and comments on my lack of planning, my lack of ability and general’ lackingness’.

Sort of apologies in advance – my posts, whilst perhaps few and far between will be long reads. I work at a keyboard all day, and so i can type quite quickly and my style tends to be like that of my famous Grand-Uncle … a stream of consciousness, sometimes failing to make much sense.

The term Negative Split refers to executing the first half of the event (run/bike/swim/other) at a slower pace than the second half of the event the plan being to finish strong and ensures a happy smiley face at the end line.
