Its over a month since IMDE – i’ve had a week in the West of Ireland with my family (they had two), I’ve started in a new job (which is going fine so far) and generally taken it easy. Swam twice, ran twice (pulled a muscle) and cycled twice in a month !!! That was a week’s work not so long ago
Some things have gotten done around the house that have been put off for a long long time, Mrs Yendor is somewhat happy at this … however i think its time now to do some thinking and working out my next target, the next challenge otherwise i think i’ll go mad!
Since Germany i don’t think I’ve had a good night sleep – as far as i can tell it would seem that i’m simply not tired enough going to bed at night. I’m finding that its 2-3-even 4am in the morning before i’d get to sleep and consequently i’m in bits come the morning alarm call ;-( Something has to be done about this. Before the eyes go the whole way in to the back of my head from lack of sleep. [I'm not in to sleeping tablets].
- Get this left calf muscle sorted out
- Get training for the Dublin Marathon which is only some 11-12 weeks away. So whilst there’s still time, i need to get going soon once this leg is healed.
O yeah – i nearly forgot – i signed up for Ironman Lanzarote 2009 today. Yipeeeeee

Rodmeister,
Great blogging and video and now we all have the Lanzarote build up to look forward to. Run off my feet at the moment but post Ryder Cup things will be much quieter and knees permitting I will be giving the running a shot – it will be my last half-serious effort to get half-good again and if my will or body doesn’t do it this time I’ll just be sticking to golf or parenting or whatever.
I have read most of the Fink book out of interest but a triathlon of any length is not in my thoughts. Catherina McKiernan would disagree bigtime with his favoured running style – no heel-strike for her.
Well done again on IMDE

Well done Rodney. Really impressive times for all of the legs. See you on the bike some time.
