Normal service resumes …

Dear Reader, (both of you)

apologies for leaving you high and dry in the last wee while, it seems that its been nigh on three weeks since my last posting/ramblings on the adventures, trials and tribulations of a wannabe Ironman. I cite in my defence lots of training, and then lots of catching up on Work when i returned (!) a race but most significantly a dropped laptop as my excuse for not giving the world what they wanted and the regular updates on life in the slow’n’steady lane.

The wheels started coming off day 2 in the Lanza trip (write up still outstanding) Mr IT guy himself, managed to drop the afore mentioned collection of bits, bytes and bobs and broke the screen. It still works however you need to hook it up to a normal monitor to make any shagging use of the beast. Consequently my ease of posting has taken a hammering, and instead of merrily writing nonsense whilst watching TV at night, i know have to sit at the awkward and uncomfortable desk that we have and use the main family PC for my sporadic outbursts of random words.

So now you know !

I hope to catch up this weekend with a number of posts – beginning with the next one of course which is a reflection on where the hell i think i am with exactly one month (gulp) to go. Yes indeedy, this time next month to the very day – the 6th – i hope to be finished/finishing by this time of the evening. Its now 15 mins before 10pm. A 7am start on race day and some 14 hours later would have me at a NINE pm finish – holy mother, that’s a long time to be on the go, be it suffering or all smiles. Remind me why am i doing this …?

This is why

–>> IMDE – Hamburger Hill, sorry about the german voice, but look at the crowds

and

–>> this is a long one – but worth sticking to it
