Blogging … ? Who needs it ?

I’m not sure which is proving the toughest at times … the training and the constant planning/replannnig of sessions or the blogging about the training and the planning/replanning ;-)

Two other guys who train with me from time to time are writing their own blogs now – see my Blogroll. Like me, its mainly intended for their own reference in the future and an opportunity to put down now how they are feeling etc. But its tough bloody work to keep at it!!!

Not so much a case of an expectant audience – after all i think i’ve had some 20-30 comments ever from 2 guys in particular, but a blog needs care and attention. It can’t be left alone with no recent entries … you can easily get as guilty about not updating the blog as missing a session.

However i’m nearly there … 10 weeks to go … stay with me reader – please do leave a comment (up to you as to whether its positive or critical).

Andy Reid? Andy bleeding Reid? More Steve Finnan I would have thought. Anyway, you will have a career as a writer if you ever want to check out of IT. Keep up the blogging and the training. Really impressed with your efforts. What is a ‘brick’?!

Gary …. Andy has had some well known (and pretty darn obvious even to my eye) battles with his weight and his weakness for (I’m guessing here now) Ice-cream , chocolate … (as with me) … whatever about late night Kebabs, Big Macs, ten pints of beer. – which are thankfully behind me now !!!

Steve Finnan – didn’t he knock someone over in the past ? Mmmmmmm ;-)
In the good old days i would have had ROY as my man … the central midfielder going from box to box, tackling, driving on the team etc … i even got Hi-Tec boots ;-)

Anyhow a BRICK is the term given to a run straight off the bike. So there’s an added twist to the run in that your legs initially feel like ‘bricks’. I don’t really know how the ‘brick’ term came about, but thats what it is a bike + run, and some real triathletes might even do a series of them …. bike X – run Y – bike X – run Y ad infinity.
