It’s three weeks tomorrow since my brush with the Beemer, and two weeks on Friday since i came down heavy with the MANFLU and I’m gradually coming back to something remotely ‘normal’. I still have a small wee bit of a chesty cough, but nothing to hold me back ! The kids have all had a dose of what i had, thankfully due to some Parent God in the sky they didn’t get it too badly, 24 hours tops – and now Herself is down with a great portion of the flu (sweats, cold, achey bones etc) … but WannaBe triathlete/IronMan is bouncing back. 18 March 2008Well it had to happen i suppose, and when it did happen it was a biggie. Base2 Week 2(4) – biggest so far
7 March 2008Total 11h:21m
3h:32m (31%)
5h:49m (51%)
2h (17%)
Gathered over the course of seven sessions in six days – one rest day. Only my second time over the 10-hour barrier so far in this season’s training. Again a good balance with the bike getting most attention, with running more than swimming. Enjoyable week, tired at the start as i completed two sessions on the Monday (early swim and run at lunchtime) but as the week wore on i felt stronger .. some good sleeps helped, but still well short of the 8 hours that would be the ideal.
