And we’re off … up to now its been a case of doing whatever i wanted to do, when i wanted to do … but as and from this Monday 21st of January, its a plan to follow and i’ll be doing all i can to adhere to this ‘plan’.
One week in, and ‘yes’ I’m tired, the body took a lot this week … lots of hours clocked up, and not as much sleeping/resting as i’d like. Oh and of course work and family took a hand there too to get in the way of training & recovery. However this is to be expected, the whole philiosophy about training is to progressively overload the body and in time the body will take it on board and respond in a positive fashion and adjust to the stresses.

One of my longest weeks logged in training – i’ve done more time before, but those were usually Bike focussed weeks which isn’t quite as tough on the body. This week i got 7 sessions in, plus five days worth of commuting and a football training session. 3 longish runs does tire you out. Wouldn’t it be great not to have to work a 40-odd hour week as well.
